Project Assistant

Contract Period:

Beginning of July 2019 to maximum of one year.

＊There is a one-month trial period.

＊Renewal of contract will be decided during the trial period.

Salary:

THB 20,700 – 29,900 per month (depending on the qualification and capability)

Job Description:

Main responsibilities are to support all tasks under the project assigned by JICA experts as follows:

• To interpret JICA experts with project stakeholders in necessary occasions (English/Thai and Thai/English).
• To assist in meetings, seminars and workshops.
• To assist administrative and logistic coordination of the project.
• To assist in recording duties (such as to take notes, video, and photos).
• To support the documentation such as preparation of the printing materials.
• To translate relevant documents for the project (English/Thai and Thai/English).

Requirements:

• Proficiency level in English and mother tongue in Thai.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to efficiently work on transcription and typing documents.
• Basic business skills and manner.
• Good coordination skill.

Qualifications:

Bachelor or higher degree

Official English test score (minimum TOEIC 810, TOEFL PBT 580, iBT 90)

Brief information of the Project:

The Project for the "Utilization of Thailand Local Genetic Resources to Develop Novel Farmed Fish for Global Market" is a research project lead by the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT) and the Department of Fisheries, Thailand, with other notable research institutes in both Thailand and Japan. It is a five years project just started from June 2019 funded by the JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and the JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency) for the program called SATREPS (Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development).
