ADRA Thailand is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Project Manager (Full time) based in Mae Sot, Tak, Thailand

Job Overview: The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager to manage the implementation of the Vocational Training project in seven refugee camps along the Thai – Myanmar border.  The position will support to area teams in Mae Sot, Mae Seriang, and Kanchanaburi to implement the project. The Assistant Project Manager contributes to a trustful & respectful relationship with staff and stakeholders in which ADRA’s values and mission is reflected. The Assistant Project Manager is required to frequently travel to camps in four provinces along the Thai-Myanmar border.

 

REPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist to manage Mae Sot office, including equipment managing and supplies
  • Pay office utility cost and purchase office supplies
  • Supervise cleaner and responsible for daily office’s management
  • Perform translation duties as requested by Project Manager
  • Send and receive office mail and distribute to related persons
  • Assist HR with visas and work permits for expatriate staff as required
  • Collect staff monthly time sheet and send to Headquarter Chiang Mai office
  • Collect camps entry from VTiT staff and send to HR
  • Prepare MOI quarterly report in Thai and send to HR
  • Support in attending  MOI meeting in field level and report to project manager
  • Assist Project Manager in gathering staff monthly activities planning and monthly camp entry record from all areas
  • Review and prepare application for registration of VT trainees. Ensure accuracy of trainees name and subject enrolled
  • Coordinate with Mae Sot Technical College for VTC monitoring visit to camps
  • Prepare document to obtain camp pass for visitors and materials delivery to camps
  • Support project manager to prepare an official Thai letter to government offices
  • Perform other tasks as required by the Project Manager

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

 

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree

 

Experience:

  • 2 – 3 year experience in Administrative field or experience in positions equal to the position responsibilities outlined above

 

Language Skills:

  • Strong English verbal and written skills
  • Strong Thai verbal and written skills
  • Karen and/or Burmese language skills are an advantage

 

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a Christian context
  • Must have strong operational management skills
  • Understanding of diversity in working environment
  • Ability to handle work efficiently and accurately under time constraints
  • Strong computer skills (Including Microsoft Office proficiency)
  • Excellent public relation and communication skills
  • Hands on and able to perform work independently
  • Experience in visa extension and work permit application and renewal is an advantage
  • Valid driver’s license for a car a must
