TITLE: PROJECT OFFICER – LEAP II PROJECT
TEAM/PROGRAMME: OPERATIONS
LOCATION: Pattani Field Office
CONTRACT LENGTH: 1 year
ROLE PURPOSE:
To assist the Deep South Field Coordinator in managing the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of high quality, innovative programme in the Deep South of Thailand; particularly focusing on building the capacity of local civil society organizations.

Role Dimensions:
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
- Ensuring good communication between Save the Children, Project Partner (FCD), CSOs, and local communities.
- Coordinate and support the CSOs to identify their organisational strengths and capacity gaps, craft organisational development plans, and monitor the CSOs’ actions against these plans.
- Plan and roll out of the sub-granting mechanism with support from Deep South Field Coordinator in coordination with support of Save the Children’s Finance and Awards Teams.
- Jointly with FCD, will technically be responsible for the design and delivery of the capacity building strategy of CSOs according to the relevant Essential Standards and will provide operational support from a technical and organizational perspective to CSOs throughout the project period.
- Act as Save the children representative in meetings, conference or other events in the Deep South
- Ensure CSOs have the knowledge, skills, and systems to comply with EU regulations
- Support CSO partners to develop and implement aligned data collection systems for reporting and lead in compiling inputs from partners for donor reports
- Share good partnership capacity building tools with Save the Children staff and potentially local partners in other field offices.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Thai Nationality
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Relevant qualification in organisational development child protection or social development
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential:
- Demonstrated skills, experience (at least three years), and knowledge in management (preferably in development sector and in relevant thematic area).
- Three years professional working experience, development sector preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including good level of written and spoken English. Pattani Malay is strongly recommended.
Desirable:
- Ability to analyse information, and to document and report.
- Ability to, and experience of, delivering training in thematic area as well as for institutional capacity.
- An in-depth understanding of context of the Deep South
- Significant experience working and building relationships with government officials and local partners;
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently domestically (including to remote areas), and internationally as assigned
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.
