for facilitation of a workshop on promoting decent work in Asian supply chains
Responsible supply chains in Asia Programme
The "Responsible Supply Chains in Asia" (RSCA) project (RAS/16/13/EUR) is a three - year project conducted by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and financed by the European Union (EU). The project aims at contributing to an enhanced respect for human rights, labour and environmental standards by businesses engaged in supply chains in Asia including Thailand in line with international instruments on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) and Business and Human Rights. This regional project covers China, Japan, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, and works in specific sectors within each of these countries.
The specific objectives of the project in Thailand are to
The project wish to host a workshop on promoting decent work in Asian supply chains to provide training for approximately 60 representatives of businesses (sustainability practitioner, human resource personnel, managers) the view to increase their understanding on the principles of ILS and guideline on the selected topics (forced labour, child labour and fair recruitment).The workshops will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on the 5th November 2019. This training is framed in the activity THA D5 of the RSCA programme.

The consultant is required to
1) Facilitate the workshops for representatives of companies
2) Document the outcome of the workshop
The anticipated working days is three days. The contract will start on the 4th of November and end on the 29th November 2019.
The workshop will be held on the 5th November 2019. The consultant will be paid a daily rate of [proposed fee to be added] USD for three days. The External Collaborator will be paid upon satisfactory completion of deliverables and upon receipt of an invoice.
Education: Undergraduate education in Economics, Social Science, Development or Business Management or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 2 (two) years’ experience facilitating collaborative workshops.
Language: Excellent command of spoken and written English.

The consultant will report to Fredy Guayacan, programme manager of the project RSCA and Chayanich Thamparipattra, the National Project Coordinator for Thailand.
