Contract Type: Full time, Fixed Term- 2 years.

Oxfam Great Britain in Thailand is looking for Business Analyst who will be a member of the formation System, Delivery and Change team with a focus on business processes and information systems provide cost effective support to business teams in one significant area or several related areas to support the delivery of specific Oxfam objectives.

 

Technical

  • Analyse the business need relating to business change initiatives, identifying and evaluating options for improvement
  • Engage with business stakeholders to facilitate the gathering, developing and documenting of business requirements: producing "as is" and "to be" business process maps, use cases and user stories as appropriate
  • Work with key stakeholders to manage requirements, ensure they are clearly understood and the necessary information is available
  • Work with ambiguity within change initiatives
  • Prepare options papers and business cases for proposed solutions
  • Support user acceptance testing of system changes including planning, development of acceptance criteria, coordination of business acceptance stakeholders, logging issues, documenting and presenting test results

Leadership

  • Understand perspectives of internal and external stakeholders and ensure issue resolution; including the ability to influence senior managers to achieve agreement
  • Support implementation of new processes and system functionality including communications and provision of training materials for users and lead post implementation reviews

Management

  • Managing own work package and report progress to Project Managers, budget holders and Business Analysis Manager

 

Our next Business Analyst will require a range of skills and experience.

 

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills and a high degree of self-awareness
  • Experience of business analysis working in multiple environments on a variety of projects of scale and complexity; can deal with ambiguity
  • Understands business implications of decisions; demonstrates knowledge of market and competition; aligns work with strategic goals
  • Proven track record of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories/functional specifications.
  • Experience using behaviour driven design language to facilitate user story creation
  • Proficient in documenting As-Is and To-Be processes
  • Ability to facilitate workshops with in-depth analysis of user issues to determine causes and solutions. Communicate the status of issues to stakeholders and to the project team
  • Demonstrate a high level of analytical thinking with a logical and systematic approach to solving problems
  • Demonstrate tenacity: must be able to track issues and stick with them until they are resolved.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse virtual project team consisting of individuals from different functions to investigate, test and develop solutions and workarounds to resolve customer issues/requests
  • Ability to influence and resolve conflict across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, informative communication about complex issues - both oral and written
  • Prior experience of working in a virtual team environment
  • Fluency in English

 

Desirable

  • Business Analysis qualifications/experiences
  • Successful records in organisation change management
  • Previous experience with international organisation
  • Background of IS related work is preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, women’s rights, and diversity for all aspects of development work
  • Commitment to undertake Oxfam’s safeguarding training and adherence of relevant policies to ensure all people who come into contact with Oxfam are as safe as possible

 

This role will give you an opportunity to work with senior decision maker of Information system department to deliver cost effective solution for new initiatives, organization changes.
