FHI 360 brings multi sectoral expertise to design, deliver, evaluate and scale solutions to environment and climate change (ECC) challenges. This integrated, 360-degree approach is needed to achieve sustainable, resilient, just and balanced outcomes for people and the planet.

FHI 360 seeks a consultant to provide technical and thought leadership services to support efforts to grow our plastic pollution portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder mapping to identify key individuals and institutions engaged in addressing plastic pollution in the Asia Pacific region.
• Introduce FHI 360 to potential funders, partners and collaborators in the plastic pollution space
• Contribute to a concept note for a three-part plastic pollution focused event series, with one event (virtual or in-person) to be held each in Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand
• Support production of knowledge products leading up to and reflecting upon the plastic pollution event series (e.g., blog posts), potentially leading the writing of some products
• Review and propose knowledge exchange platforms and communication channels where knowledge products can be applied/disseminated.

Key deliverables

• Stakeholder map defining stakeholders, including potential funders, partners and collaborators engaged in addressing plastic pollution in Asia Pacific
• Input to a webinar series concept and for associated blogs/papers/ social media posts
• Factsheet/ brief on plastics in the region
• Key events with their timing proposed for FHI 360 engagement
• Presentation on overall plastics context in the region, including the regional stakeholder analysis

Location of Work: Working remotely or Bangkok, Thailand

Travel: Occasional travel in the Asia region is likely
