VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

Peace Winds Japan (PWJ) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization headquartered in Japan, engaging in humanitarian activities in Asia, Africa, Central America and the Middle East. In Myanmar and Thai, PWJ has implemented projects of emergency response activities, WASH in school, mother and child care, and other humanitarian activities.

PWJ is now welcoming applications from competent and motivated Myanmar/Thai nationals for the following vacant position:

 

Job title:                                  Sr Project Officer (Project for vulnerable children)

Number of post:                      1

Duty station:                   Sangkhraburi District of Kanchanaburi Province and/or Mae Sot Tak province

Application deadline:              29 February 2024

Work starting date:                  possible date of March/2024 (project period is One year)

 

Principal responsibilities:

  • To assist planning, implementing the project (Local NGO/Peace Winds Japan collaborate project)
  • To monitor and make report to the Project Coordinator/Manager.
  • To make weekly report of the project based on the monitoring.
  • To establish good cooperative relations with the local authorities and other stakeholders.
  • To perform any other tasks as assigned.

 

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Knowledge/experience in humanitarian relief field in general;
  • More than five year experiences in humanitarian relief field
  • High ethics and motivation to work in the humanitarian field;
  • Myanmar/Thai and English language skills;
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team;
  • Willingness to make frequent field trips;
  • Good computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel, Power Point);
  • Honest, responsible and in good physical condition to meet the job’s demands; and
  • Readiness to comply with PWJ terms and conditions.
