Background of the project 

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic well-being, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC works in over 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities, helping people survive, reclaim control of their future, and strengthen their communities. The IRC has been operating in Thailand since 1975 and currently provides assistance to displaced per-sons in Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Mae Hong Son provinces.

Job Overview/Summary: The Finance Assistant will be a member of the Finance Department based in Ratchaburi under the supervision of the Finance Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring that high quality financial management and support are provided to staff where appropriate.

Scope of work

1. Checking the documentation support for payment request and ensure all the financial documents are properly filed and tagged per requirements.

• Follow up on receipts for materials and supplies with vendors / suppliers for attached in payment Voucher.
• Stamp all transactions as “PAID” once each transaction has been processed and is   ready for filing.
• Photocopy and scan all necessary documents in the filing system.
• Ensure all the financial documents are properly filed and tagged per requirements.
• Assisted with entry transactions and data in finance tools.

2.Assist Finance team with general support such as performing IRC transactions at the local bank and contact with Venders/Suppliers for documentation support.

• inform all vendors by phone or Email for transfer confirmation, send documents related to the venders’ payment to all Vendors.

3. Take responsibility for the work and accomplish the task as assigned daily to support Operations and Program Activities.

• Support Warehouse/Supply chain for quarterly cycle count for Pharma /non pharma, Inventory, and  Asset in Ratchaburi and Kanchanaburi.
• Assist Finance and Operation teams in preparing and distributing CBA stipends in camp monthly.

4. Additional responsibilities 

• Learn and understand the IRC forms, process, procedure, rules, and regulations and strictly follow them.
• Provide coverage of duties in the absence of the Finance Officer as required.
• Perform any other duties to support the Finance Department.
• Participate in monthly operation team meetings and IRC Ratchaburi and Kanchanaburi team.

Deliverables:

•  Day to day checking supporting document and ensure all the financial documents are properly filed and tagged per requirements.
• Contact vendors for follow up on receipts for materials and supplies with vendors / suppliers send document support of payment to vendors in weekly.
• Banking at the local bank twice a month.
• Support prepare document for distributing CBA stipends in camp monthly.
• Support Warehouse/Supply chain for quarterly cycle count monthly.

Payment Rate and Schedule:

• IRC may withhold for taxes 3% as required by law and shall provide withholding certificates to the translator, accordingly. The consultant shall submit the timesheet at the end of each month. The payment will be made by IRC at the end of each month.

Requirements:

• Education: High vocational Certificate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or relevant field.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year with relevant work experience in a similar position.
• Experience with accounting systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, respond to urgent requests, and meet regular deadlines.
• Effective time management skills.
• Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, Internet).
• Positive attitude and excellent service mind.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
