This position is full-time and 1 year fixed term contract based in Thailand - Southeast Asia, with another possible extension. The Oceans Project Communications Senior Specialist is assigned to fully support ocean campaign projects both national and regional-global level.

Responsibilities:

●     Lead and contribute to national and regional communication and media strategies, including the development of key messages for Greenpeace ocean campaign projects.

●     Work closely with the regional/global Ocean Justice Communication team and Beyond Seafood Campaign Communication team on shaping communication strategies and crafting compelling content to engage with target audiences.

●     Reliably deliver on project support plans in line with the strategy,

●     Oversee the monitoring and analysis of media coverage.

●     Coordinate media events such as press conferences. Perform other duties as assigned.

●     Develop monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for the campaign and implement progress reviews and end-point evaluations

Qualifications:

• Communications, Digital media, Journalism, or in relevant fields
• Demonstrated a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in related industry, with clear success
• An environmental/activist organization (work on oceans issues) is desirable.
