Country Director
Job Location: Thailand (Bangkok)
Reports to: Asia Regional Director
Job Summary
The Exodus Road envisions a world where humans are never bought, sold, or exploited. We disrupt the darkness of modern-day slavery partnering with law enforcement to fight human trafficking crime, equipping communities to protect the vulnerable, and empowering survivors as they walk into freedom.
The Country Director (CD) is responsible for guiding and managing The Exodus Road’s work in Thailand; representing The Exodus Road to key stakeholders; providing leadership in the development and implementation of the country strategy and programs; overseeing operations, including the direct supervision of country management staff; overseeing preparation, implementation and monitoring of budgets and good financial management practices; and identifying funding opportunities and networks with donors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support The Exodus Road’s Vision Mission, Values, and Strategic Plan
Build effective teamwork and coordination among staff in country
Represent The Exodus Road to Government, UN agencies, other NGOs and stakeholders in Thailand
Analyze and maintain an ongoing awareness of the operating environment, particularly the trends and laws relating to human trafficking in Thailand
Develop, review, and implement a proactive country strategy in Thailand
Develop and implement a funding acquisition strategy in Thailand, identify funding opportunities and maintain networks with donors and organizations for partnership
Ensure effective financial monitoring, reporting, and management
Develop annual operating budgets and work plans
Ensure compliance with The Exodus Road’s Global Minimum Standards (GMS) and Government laws and policies in Thailand
Review and oversee implementation of effective operational security, risk management, and communication policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
5 years progressively responsible experience in senior management of nonprofits (NGOs) preferably within the human trafficking sector
Proven ability to manage significant budgets and multiple projects
Evidence of proficient language skills (written and verbal): English and Thai
Demonstrated commitment to achieving excellence, team health organizational strengthening
Previous experience working with other cultures
Valid passport; international experience and travel is a plus
