The Communications Support Officer is responsible for proactively providing organizational and logistical support to the Communications & Digital Unit, in alignment with the unit's objectives and workflows, to ensure the team conducts effective and efficient campaign work. The Communications & Digital Unit is tasked with ensuring high-quality media and digital communications outreach for Greenpeace Southeast Asia, as well as coordinating communications, public campaigns, and organizational profiling activities. This is a full-time position based in Bangkok, Thailand
Key Responsibilities:
Project Contribution: Actively contribute ideas to the development of project activities and work plans.
Monitoring & Analysis: Conduct daily monitoring and analysis of public communications, including news and social media sentiment related to environmental issues and Greenpeace. Keep the office informed of breaking news, such as disasters, urgent environmental matters, and policy changes.
Support Functions: Provide essential support for unit and project priorities, as well as organizational needs. Responsibilities include maintaining the photo, video, and digital assets library, managing a database of communications and digital contacts, and handling content management information.
Production & Distribution: Assist in the production, publication, and distribution of Greenpeace materials and advisories for both offline and online use within the country. This includes press releases, briefing papers, reports, brochures, commentaries, articles, letters, videos, photos, and stories.
Logistical Coordination: Collaborate with the Campaign Project, Public Engagement, Finance, and Fundraising units to ensure smooth execution of logistical work plans.
Event Implementation: Work closely with relevant Communications and Digital team members to coordinate the implementation of press events and activities, managing all necessary logistics.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.
