About RBB
Rights Beyond Border (RBB) is a registered non-profit organization (NGO) based in Mae Sot, Tak province. Founded in 2016, our work is to promote and protect the rights of children on the move in Thailand. RBB also works on the principle of bridging the gaps in human rights, equality, sustainability and contributing to positive social change
About the Role
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for developing strategic action plan, conducting projects monitoring, and implementing education and protection programs with the specific focus on children on the move along Thailand-Myanmar border. You will be also responsible for project development and reporting with the support of director. This position is a full-time based in Mae Sot office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop strategic action plans to respond to education and protection of children on the move
- Develop interventions to promote and protect the rights of people on the move especially children
- Implement day-to-day activities and conduct regular monitoring, together with projects’ staffs to ensure the quality and effectiveness of activities
- Supervise and support the projects’ staffs to ensure all projects activities are achieved effectively and timely
- Coordinate with key stakeholders including Thai and non-Thai communities, local government agencies, NGO and CBO partners
- Participate in network meetings and serve as a focal point for education and protection networks
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have;
- University Degree in social science or relevant field
- Minimum 5-year experience in working with non-governmental organization or community-based organization
- Demonstrate experience working on child rights, human rights, emergency response, or capacity building program is desired
- Strong leadership skills and experience in team management
- Teamwork oriented but ability to work under remote supervision
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment and respect of diversity
- Computer literate (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, internet, and email)
- Excellence communication and coordination
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Thai
- Applicant with car driving license is also an asset
