Program Officer – Supporting Social Resilience Program (SSRP)
Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Program Managers in sub grant application processes. This includes conducting and/or coordinating remote surveys, qualitative and quantitative data analyses, and production of learning materials (e.g. data visualization, case studies, project brief slide deck, etc.).
- Support the development of work plans, monitoring plans, and other documents in support of program implementation.
- Support documentation of research and project related data from application to decision, agreement, reporting, and closure.
- Ensure accountability for the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and security of assigned grants-related data, reports, research, and evaluations.
- Ensure all assigned grants-related data and reports comply with donor requirements and Grantor’s policies and procedures. This includes liaising with sub awardees to ensure compliance with terms and requirements within the project agreement.
- Coordinate and support engagement and networking with former and existing sub awardees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in information sciences, social sciences, international affairs, international development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in developing, implementing, and managing the project cycle
- Experience in conducting and/or coordinating remote surveys, qualitative and qualitative data analyses, and production of learning materials.
- Experience in coordinating with and supporting formal and informal networks of CSOs.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural or international working environment, field mission, or ongoing conflict environment.
- Familiarity with responding to donors and funding agencies’ reporting requirements.
- Ability to hold the confidential/sensitive information in strict confidence and will exercise reasonable degree of care to prevent disclosure to others.
- Interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to interact effectively and diplomatically with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as externally both domestically and internationally.
- Strong ability to plan, organize, prioritize work, and multi-task to meet tight deadlines while working independently.
- Ability to adapt to change and undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Burmese is required.
Desirable
- Familiar with human rights and/or democracy-related issues in Myanmar or Southeast East Asia.
- Previous experience of working in Myanmar or SEA/ the Asia region.
- Previous experience of working in the field of women, and youth.
- Experience working with US government grants, cooperative agreements and similar funding mechanisms is preferred. University degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
