BACKGROUND
IUCN is a membership Union composed of government and civil society organisations. It is the global authority on the status of the natural world and the measures needed to safeguard it. Asia Regional manages over 100 projects across Asia as part of its growing portfolio. The region’s donors include a diverse range of bilateral donors and multilateral funds like the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and Green Climate Fund (GCF). IUCN Asia intends to increase its portfolio performance management and operational efficiency by enhancing and harmonising the portfolio data monitoring and management across the organisation.
IUCN Asia is hiring a Portfolio Support Officer to support the institution’s performance management, he/she will support the regional portfolio data management system upkeeping and contribute to the region’s leadership in strategic performance management. He/she would primarily handle and process large volumes of project performance and financial data, create reports, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions aligning institutional policies, practices, standards, and systems
1. MAJOR DUTIES
Under the overall guidance of the Regional Director and direct supervision of the SSG’s Head of Programme Management, the Portfolio Support Officer will support project portfolio management, monitor portfolio performance, and assist the Regional Multilateral Portfolio Manager in managing the multilateral finance portfolio.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Portfolio Support Officer will be responsible for the following specific duties:
