Project officer

For ‘B.O.L.D. – Policy: Building Organizations & Local actors Dialogue (for) – Policy’

(1 position)

 

The Life Skills Development Foundation (TLSDF) as the secretariat of Lanna Child Rights Coalition (L-CRC) is currently seeking one project coordinator and one project officer for an action supported by European Union called ‘B.O.L.D. – Policy: Building Organisations & Local actors Dialogue (for) – Policy’. The two positions place in TLSDF’s office in Chiang Mai, Thailand. By becoming part of our team, you can work with a strong child rights-focused CSO network and several groups of child rights youth activists (CRYA) in three Upper northern provinces, Maehongson, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai supporting them to advocate for their entitled rights as prescribed in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC) and its three optional protocols. In these positions, you can also engage in a fruitful exchange of child rights expertise in National and International innovative and progressive networks such as CRC Thailand, CRC Asia, other International NGOs, and relevant UN agencies.   

 

Role and responsibilities

TLSDF B.O.L.D. project officer’s role is to support the coordinator function, a project officer will oversee the work in the field with target groups, ranging from the youth networks, the CRYAs and LCRCs and Thai government department staff members and maintain sound relations with stakeholders and collect field data for reporting. TLSDF B.O.L.D. project officer has responsibility to report to TLSDF B.O.L.D. project coordinator.   

 

His or her main responsibilities are;

  1. Set detailed activities plan of B.O.L.D. project's activities, follow up and evaluate its progress against the scheduled tasks and activities.
  2. Coordinate with B.O.L.D. target groups under the Action in organizing activities as planned.
  3. Coordinate with other project personnels regarding B.O.L.D. project activities
  4. Prepare target groups information to support TLSDF’s B.O.L.D. project coordinator preparation for all required official letters and project progress reports
  5. Assist the TLSDF’s B.O.L.D. project coordinator to conduct training and facilitation sessions according to the approved plan of action with technical support from B.O.L.D. action's management
  6. Carrying out field monitoring visits, supporting training sessions for partners with support of TLSDF B.O.L.D. project officer
  7. TLSDF’s B.O.L.D. project coordinator to provide support the implementation and results of the contracted FSTP, ensuring the Action has sound implementation

 

COMPENSATION: 

-For TLSDF B.O.L.D. project officer: Range from 15,000 to 20,000 baht per month.

TLSDF will cover 5% national insurance to match 5% from your salary and you will have 18 days annual leave per year. Typically, annual pay rises are from 2.5% to 7.5%. You will receive travel allowance 400 baht/day when you are working on the project field sites.

 

Requirements

  • University degree in any field relevant to the work described above
  • Good relationship and communication skills in local dialects and central Thai
  • Minimum of 1 or 2 years of experience working with CSO/NGO in three Upper northern provinces, Maehongson, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai
  • Learning person in the human rights perspective
  • Good presentation and networking skills, facilitation skills are key assets
  • Good organizational skills and reliability in time management, schedule organization, and resource management, readiness to follow administrative standards and   procedures
  • Working experienced in project cycle management, monitoring & evaluation are advantaged.
  • Ready to comply with all TLSDF’s existing policies

 

The first contract is offered from 1 January 2025 until December 2025 with the possibility of to extend for 2 years. The duty station is in Chiang Mai.
