LOCATION: Mae Sot, Tak, Thailand
TYPE: Full Time
CONTRACT LENGTH: 1 year ( 3-month probation review)

DESCRIPTION
For high-quality, inclusive, and equitable educational opportunities (as outlined in UNESCO’s 4th Sustainable Development Goal) to be provided for all children, InEd looks to close the gap through contextualized capacity building, educational system strengthening, community-based solutions, and data-driven advocacy. Through ongoing research, we seek to continually improve our projects and evidence both our impact and the challenges faced in marginalized communities. We also want to give back to communities in need. Through fundraising, we are committed to responding to needs in our communities as they arise: ensuring we stay relevant and always listening to community voices.
Based in Mae Sot, Thailand, The Education Outreach Coordinator, plays a pivotal role in advancing InEd's mission by strengthening strategic partnerships and driving impactful education initiatives. This position leads coordination and advocacy efforts to improve educational access and quality, with particular focus on supporting our Out-of-School Enrollment Task Force.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advocate with Thai public school directors and teachers to facilitate inclusive enrollment and remove systemic barriers to education access
- Support Thai public school teachers to strengthen retention strategies to ensure at-risk students remain engaged and do not drop out
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with local community leaders and Thai public school administrators to facilitate collaborative educational initiatives
- Provide documentation support for children's enrollment processes, assisting families in obtaining necessary paperwork and navigating administrative requirements
- Develop advocacy materials and media resources to promote inclusive education policies at both local and national levels, influencing decision-makers and raising public awareness
- Regularly attend teacher and parent meetings to ensure effective policy implementation and maintain clear communication channels between all stakeholders
- Undertake administrative, budgeting, and logistical duties as required to support smooth program operations and organizational objectives
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to identify opportunities, develop strategic initiatives, and successfully implement programs that advance educational access and quality
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the education sector, with a focus on advocacy, program coordination, or policy engagement.
- Demonstrated management and coordination skills, including the ability to plan strategically, meet deadlines, and oversee projects effectively.
- Proven experience in liaising with government departments, with the ability to gain credibility among senior officials while constructively challenging the status quo.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working in cross-cultural, multicultural, or international settings.
- Strong team collaboration abilities, coupled with the capacity to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience working directly with children and managing educational initiatives will be highly prioritized.
- Project management skills (considered a strong asset), including the ability to work under pressure, adapt to dynamic environments, and deliver results.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for policy briefs, advocacy materials, and public presentations in Thai and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and adaptable to learning new digital platforms and tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required for project needs.
