The Indigenous Peoples Foundation for Education and Environment (IPF), under the Inclusive Conservation Initiative (ICI) supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF-7), is looking for a Consultant on Gender Action Plan Implementation to strengthen gender equality and women’s leadership in community-based conservation.
The consultant will work closely with IPF and partner organizations — IMPECT, PASD, WISE, and ECHA — supporting 86 Indigenous communities from seven ethnic groups across eight provinces in Thailand. The role involves ensuring that women and men participate equally in decision-making, natural resource management, and community development processes.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical guidance for implementing the project’s Gender Action Plan (GAP).
• Develop and facilitate capacity-building activities for project staff and partners on gender equality and inclusion.
• Create training materials and tools to promote gender-sensitive practices in conservation and community initiatives.
• Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of GAP implementation and progress.

Duration:
1 November 2025 – 31 December 2026 (14 months).

Location:
Based at IPF Office, San Na Meng Subdistrict, San Sai District, Chiang Mai with posible in-country travel.

Qualifications:
• Degree in social sciences, gender studies, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in gender equality or women’s empowerment work.
• Strong understanding of Indigenous peoples’ rights, traditional knowledge, and resource management.
• Excellent communication, training, and report-writing skills.
• Fluent in Thai, with good English proficiency.
