Malteser International is a German non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance and development aid for people in need in over 20 countries. Malteser International is currently working with temporary refugee shelters and surrounding villages in Sob-Moei district, Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. Our office located in Mae Sariang is looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced, professional for the position as Clinical Supervisor

Clinical Supervisor (1)

Duty Station: Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province

Work locations: Mae Saring, Mae La Ma Luang and Mae La Oon Camp

Main Responsibilities/Duties

Supervise and monitor clinic staff to ensure a streamlined and efficient organization of all health care provision in facilities managed by Malteser international.

Monitor performance and compliance among camp staff with applicable rules and regulations

Provide necessary intervention and clinical consultations for severe, life threatening and complicated cases at OPD and IPD (including those for pregnant women).

Confirm and justify need for secondary and tertiary health care patient referrals to Thai Hospitals, including follow-up of the referral process at Thai Hospitals.

Support and strengthen clinical staff knowledge and skills in the management of patients using proper interpretation of lab and test results.

Take an active role in outbreak responses and infection control related to all health facilities.

Carry out regular refresher trainings and support training components for clinic staff with specific inputs as discussed with trainer and Medical Coordinator.

Access clinical staff performance with recommendations for improvement and capacity building

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

Medical Doctor with registration in his/her own home country.

Preferably 2-3 years work experience in humanitarian field, working with vulnerable population groups.

2-3 year experience attending and treating patients in a clinic or hospital setting

Practical clinical experience in rural settings/health facility

Previous work experience in health field with (I)NGO is an asset

Intermediate/Good level of written and spoken English.

Good computer skills, Microsoft Office

Proven expertise in proving training

Ability to communicate fluently in either Burmese and/or Skgaw Karen language

Holders of Thai Medical license considered as advantage

Specialist training in relevant field considered an advantage
