Program Manager Assistant for RISE – IFRC/EU
The Life Skills Development Foundation (TLSDF) is a registered Thai non-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO) that aims to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children and their families in northern Thailand. TLSDF’s mission is to empower and build the capacity of the individuals and groups responsible for ensuring the basic rights of children (survival, protection, development, and participation) in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
We are in the initial phase of the RISE project – Reaching for Improved Access to Service and Employment Opportunities for Shan Migrant Domestic Workers in Northern Thailand – which will target Shan migrant workers (particularly domestic workers) in Chiang Mai. The two primary goals for the 18-month project will be to conduct capacity building training for the Migrant Worker Federation (our partner organization in this project), and to increase and improve service provision to migrant populations in Chiang Mai.

Responsibilities:
The employee will be responsible for coordinating with core partner organizations and relevant agencies as assigned by the Program Manager, developing and approving detailed project activity plans, supervising project officers and other project personnel who contribute to the RISE program, ensuring that the all required letters and reports are high quality and submitted on time, supervising the program operational manager, area-based coordinators, and volunteer teams, monitoring on-site work and activity, preparing management reports regarding updates on responsibilities and performance to the Program Manager and Executive Director, and providing facilitation assistance to RISE-related meetings, trainings, workshops, seminars, etc., as needed. It is important that the employee is able to provide English documentation of all project reports, and can communicate clearly and efficiently in English and Thai.
Requirements:
Advanced degree in social sciences or relevant fields (such as international development, social justice, child advocacy, public health, or education), preferably with a focus on labor rights, social development programs, migration issues, or similar topics.
Minimum 5 year experiences in CSO/NGO will be an added advantage in ensuring efficient operation with the target population and TLSDF staff
Thai native who is highly experienced in four English language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
Experience in working with migrants and other related human rights issues.
Ability to identify and initiate strategic relationships with relevant networks and resources that can strengthen the RISE project and the Migrant Workers’ Federation by providing needed services.
A background in and understanding of humanitarian issues is highly desirable.
The above position will initially be supported for a period of one year and 6 months. Any extension is subject to review and availability of funds. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. Detailed job description can be obtained upon request.

Head of Accounting and Financial Section for TLSDF
The Life Skills Development Foundation (TLSDF) is a registered Thai non-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO) that aims to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children and their families in northern Thailand. TLSDF’s mission is to empower and build the capacity of the individuals and groups responsible for ensuring the basic rights of children (survival, protection, development, and participation) in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
This position will require working with all of the current projects that the TLSDF staff is working on.
RISE: Reaching for Improved Access to Service and Employment Opportunities for Shan Migrant Domestic Workers in Northern Thailand – targets Shan migrant workers (particularly domestic workers) in Chiang Mai. The two primary goals for the 18-month project will be to conduct capacity building training for the Migrant Worker Federation (our partner organization in this project), and to increase and improve service provision to migrant populations in Chiang Mai.
ECCD: Early Childhood Care and Development –targets young mothers and children ages 0 to 2 years old. This comprehensive and community-based program aims to support parents through prenatal care and early childhood care, and to help build the capacity of daycare centers and kindergartens through close collaboration and partnerships with the local government in the Pang Mapha and Pai districts of Mae Hong Son Province in Northern Thailand
PCRP: Promotion of Child Rights to Participation – aims to empower local communities (working with children and adult groups) in Northern Thailand to create supportive frameworks that allow for better child participation in child rights advocacy. TLSDF provides support for all OP (operational partners) and their organizational child protection policies.
LSQE: Life Skills-Based Quality Education Enhancement – seeks to improve access to quality education for seven ethnic minority groups in Pang Maphaa District of Mae Hong Son Province. LSQE currently works with 20 schools in Northern Thailand and strives to develop a curriculum that emphasizes life skills and cultural awareness.
OVC: Orphaned and Vulnerable Children – seeks to address the needs of the child and/or their family members affected by HIV/AIDS by focuses on youth leadership and mentorship, with peer-to-peer support that aims to minimize stigma and discrimination.
PHP: Physical and Humiliating Punishment – aims to promote positive discipline within parenting styles, support children who experience verbal, physical, or humiliating punishment, and advocate for policy change with regards to laws on corporal punishment. In tandem with Gabfai and ChildLine, two other child rights organizations, this project will work through advocacy, policy reform, and local community outreach to achieve changes in child punishment.

Responsibilities:
The employee will be responsible for maintaining and improving TLSDF’S office and financial program accounting system, including financial reporting and filing systems, reviewing all project finances, including the finances of relevant project field offices, establishing and fine-tuning new project accounting systems as needed, supervising TLSDF’s accounting and finance officers in their duties to smoothly operate all of TLSDF’s project accounting systems and transections (including reporting and filing systems), preparing annual office and program budget reports to the TLSDF Executive Director for submission to TLSDF’s Board of Trustees, updating budget monitoring sheets to discuss with TLSDF’s program manager and director, calculating payroll, core cost, administration cost, and monthly cash flow monthly while consulting with TLSDF’s Executive Director and authorized personnel, preparing all project financial reports to donors and providing the necessary information if there are requirements from donors, under the supervision of TLSDF director, and liaisoning with particular donor driven project auditors and the TLSDF organizational auditor.

Minimum 5 year experiences in CSO/NGO will be an added advantage in ensuring efficient operation with the target population and TLSDF staff
Thai native who is highly experienced in four English language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
Experience working in finance or financial management/planning.
A background in and understanding of humanitarian issues is highly desirable.

Project Administrative and Communication Officer for RISE – IFRC/EU

Responsibilities:
The employee will be responsible for assisting project manager coordinate and work with local operational partners, assisting project trainers to organize project activities (training, seminar, workshops etc.), preparing and overseeing project materials and equipment, handling correspondence and maintenance of files of project documents, receiving visitors and controlling incoming and outgoing mails and answering telephone calls for the assigned projects, translating assigned projects documents, and then communicating and sharing them with partners and relevant bodies, controlling project supplies and inventory, and ensuring the satisfactory completion of documents to be forwarded in the assigned project names.
Requirements:
Advanced degree in communication or relevant fields (such as human resources, public relations, child advocacy, sociology or education)
Minimum 5 year experiences in CSO/NGO will be an added advantage in ensuring efficient operation with the target population and TLSDF staff
Thai native who is highly experienced in four English language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
Experience in working with migrants and other related human rights issues.
Ability to identify and initiate strategic relationships with relevant networks and resources that can strengthen the RISE project and the Migrant Workers’ Federation by providing needed services.
A background in and understanding of humanitarian issues is highly desirable.
