Validity: November 2017 – November 2018 (One year with option to renew for subsequent years)
Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Mission of WWF-Thailand’s Marketing and Fundraising Department
To drive impactful and positive changes that tackle drivers of biodiversity loss and ecological footprint. To work toward establishing Thailand as a centre of excellence for fundraising, education, and outreach for local, regional, and global conservation programmes.

I. Major Functions
The Individual Fundraising Officer is responsible for ensuring that the right amount of WWF’s merchandise products are available at authorized sales agency and ready for sales at the right price, the right place, and the right time. The Individual Fundraising Officer plays a key role within the organization as profitability can be affected by how successfully he/she undertakes his/her work: through shrewd planning, careful purchasing, and sensible enhancement of sales promotions and profits.

II. Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning and developing merchandising strategies that balance customers/donors’ expectations and organization’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, buyers, and distributors/sales agencies regarding production, prices, quantities, inventories, and time-scales.
  • Analysing sales figures, customer feedbacks, and market trends to anticipate merchandise products needs and creative designs.
  • Forecasting sales and profit, and managing budget
  • Maximizing customers/donors’ interest and sales volume by proposing creative designs and presenting merchandise products appropriately and relatively to WWF’s works.
  • Monitoring and managing the movement of inventory level and distribution.
  • Identifying and handling basic problems related to supply chain and production, and reporting to the supervisor.
  • Generating weekly and monthly sales report, and presenting such reports to supervisor.
  • Remaining up-to-date with industry best practice.

III. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Marketing Communication or Equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of professional experience in managing merchandising activity or business administration is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience of working with an international NGO would be a plus.

IV. Required Skills and Competencies

  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills to work on budgets and understand sales figures.
  • Proactive, energetic, collaborative, and comfortable to work well as part of a team and to build and maintain effective working relations with a range of people.
  • Good interpersonal skill with the ability to function in an international environment.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight schedule in a dynamic environment, and to quickly identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Sound decision making skill, and ability to plan and prioritize.
  • Good command in English communication (verbal and written).
  • Passionate about Individual fundraising project development and environmental issues.
  • Adhere to WWF’s values which are passionate and optimistic, challenging and inspiring, credible and accountable, and persevering and delivering results.

V. Working Relationship
Internal
Work closely with and under the supervision of Individual Fundraising Coordinator and in coordination with the Communication and Conservation teams.
Network
Liaise with the APGT, GDC, and other WWF offices in knowledge exchange.
External
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, distributors/sales agencies, and related stakeholders.
