USAID-Community Partnership Project
Organization:
PREVENTION, The Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Center (TRCARC) in Bangkok, Thailand, is an organization under the umbrella of the Thai Red Cross Society. We provide outstanding HIV/AIDS treatment and care, foster innovative and responsible research, and train health care practitioners in HIV/AIDS.
USAID Community Partnership Project:
The Community Partnership is a 3-year project supported by USAID and implemented by the PREVENTION, TRCARC. The goal of the project is to establish a sustainable technical assistance (TA) platform for building capacity of community-based organizations to provide quality Key Population-Led Health Services (KPLHS). The key objectives of the project are 1) to build the capacity of community-based organizations (CBOs) to provide high-quality KPLHS; 2) to establish certification systems that allow CBOs to secure public-sector endorsement of KPLHS; and 3) to mobilize and leverage resources to sustain the KPLHS TA platform.
Job Summary:
These positions will be responsible specifically to provide broad program and management support as well as technical support and guidance to community-based organizations (CBO) partners and stakeholders in the USAID-Community Partnership project. In addition, these positions will implement and monitor technical strengthening initiatives, develops adoption and/or training strategy, designs and conducts training or adoption activities for a specific technical area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a focal point for coordination with CBO partners and stakeholders who work with USAID-Community Partnership project to ensure smooth operation of programs and activities.
- Provide technical support in the development of the training modules, innovative training package for capacity building of CBO to be able to provide high quality HIV services to key populations.
- Lead and work with CBO partners under USAID-Community Partnership project to conduct the training on CLHS for CBOs.
- Lead and work with CBO partners to coordinate with local organizations to conduct the quality assurance (QA) and quality improvement (QI) processes for CLHS services provided at CBOs.
- Review, monitor and coordinate for the development of annual work plans and budgets for the Project.
- Provide mentorship to CBO partners’ staff to strengthen their skills in program oversights.
- Write and edit technical reports and documents; and assist in providing contents for publications, web pages, and presentations.
- Monitor and maintain project plan, instruments, data sets, manuals, training materials and reports.
- Assist the Senior Technical Officers and work with Communication Manager and Web Developer to develop tools and materials to be using for advocacy activities.
- Assist in ensuring appropriate monitoring of sub-grantees to achieve financial, administrative and programmatic goals.
- Maintain and monitor the project specific information system in order to respond fully to donor reporting requirements.
- Participate in periodic assessments of the project and site visits as assigned.
- Respond to a variety of programmatic, financial, administrative and logistic needs and requirements generated from donors, CBO partners, and government partners.
- Involve in the area of M&E which includes development and utilization of target reporting tools, reviewing for consistency and accuracy of information in annual work plans, budgets, semi-annual and annual reports, as well as coordinating with the whole team of USAID-Community Partnership project.
- Ensure accurate and timely reports and other relevant documents from CBO partners, e.g. financial reports.
- Routine coordination with CBO partners and consultants to resolve problem with tact.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences, Human Development or Related Field.
- 3-5 years of experience in working with NGO or development project with community-based organizations.
- Experience in program management, monitoring and evaluation and reporting in diverse settings
- Has ability to manage projects, set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of activities.
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Relevant computer software skills (including, at a minimum, the standard applications in MS Office).
- Experience with training and other capacity building methods for health services.
- Must be able to work with multi-disciplinary teams
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV/AIDS
